The "last big fight" actually happened <strong>merely 3 episodes ago</strong>, and someone who comes fresh to Kekkaishi and watches all in one go up until now will not have the slightest problems with the show's current pacing. It's roughly the same with those who follow weekly manga publications. It's frustrating when the plot progresses at "a sail's pace" and almost nothing happens after you've waited a week, but when read in one go, the plot flows rather well. That's why I can't understand phrases like "ever since Gen's death", as almost no time at all has passed from the series perspective.
