It wasn't my favorite show around, but Nodame didn't begin the series as a lovestruck ninny and Chiaki wasn't an insufferable ass from the first moment he opened his mouth. The production values, especially the music, were also a lot better. Also, I'm a band geek. ^^ I had no problems with Nodame.
