[...] Fall 2008: Unless you were into Gundam or Clannad, it looked to be a bust of a season, with nothing interesting or original. What happened? Macadamy Wasshoi. Maybe not the greatest breakout ever, but a helluva fun show. Don’t forget everyone’s favorite loli, Index, and walls o’text exposition. Mecha fans got Linebarrels of Iron, which, from what I saw, after it got past it’s initial rough spots, started spewing hot-blooded mecha action onto the screen. Then there was CHAOS:Head, for the mystery/horror folks, which was terribly under-rated. Not terrific, but underrated. Finally Akane-iro which was typical hentai harem adaptation fare…with a twist ending Show ▼ The guy actually went the sis-con route and picks his little sister — with her enthusiastic agreement!
Your skills as a reviewer are nonexistand.

That perception is based upon you not being able to asess an anime without any sort of prejudice at all.

On the other hand, i was looking for a lis of fall season anime.

A plain list would have been fine too, and it would have displayed less of your incompetence.

anyways, thanks for the information.

Casshern anime... if they makers smoking the same that the ones who do the Movie... I guess that I must watch it. One cant have enought of decaying mutants transformed in neo-nazis with a j-pop band look and an army of robot-ninjas and fliying sky castles fighting a power ranger and planes with faces. And dont forget the clay doll with ball who transforms trees in statues.

Besides that, Im looking foward to Clannad. And I must see the first season of EF.
Im in for the 3rd season of Jigokou Shoujo (Hellgirl) too.
And Im in too for moar of First of the North Star. One cant have enough of "You´re already dead.... pluf *head exploded*" :)
Hyakko looks nice. Maybe I will try it.

I didn't notice any BL subtext?

>A girl named Luna was supposed to be the last savior of humanity, but the cyborg Casshern killed her and plunged the world into total collapse
Wow! weren't Casshern and Luna lovers back then?

anyway about Casshern:
Maybe you kids were too young to remember the first Kyashan serie. The oav was made 20 years later and it only resembles the original story beauty.
Kyashan wasn't just a dark anime about this cybernetic saviour fighting against ebil robots.
Its themes ranged from racism, acceptation, impossible love, soul in an iron body, science ethics and pollution.
Wouldn't you belive it? I'd like the new Casshern being 1/10 deep like the old one. But asking for a deep story nowadays sounds just anachronistic

...with Gurren-Lagann’s success, the total number of Gainax shows that did not collapse six episodes from the end is up to an astounding one.

That's a little harsh. Petite Princess Yucie had an excellent ending -- so that's two. (heh)
