Truth be told, I get that some people might be annoyed with the way Shaft do things, but honestly, compared to the crap that I've seen people give a chance over EF, I'd have to question whether it's the style or the hype that kills the show for them.

I honestly don't care if it grates people. It has a very bold appeal and damn the folks who can't apreciate the overblown theatrics the show is going for. To me, that is a good thing. I'd rather have something unique and jarring than something that might make more logical sense but is more boring.

I guess this is where the "meh" people gather, huh?

Seriously, though, despite my like of Shinkai's graphics (though stories..not entirely) and this being one of the biggest hypes in eroge adaptations, I couldn't get through the first episode....for some reason. I can't explain it, but it was like it kind of got stuck and i moved on. And I'm not about to start the second season without watching the first. I might not like this series, but I'm not about to ruin any possiblt good experiences in the future. But I'll agree that this show shouldn't be a weekly (or at least the story shouldn't have been fragmented as such)

Totali you want a side-order with that?

Meh I like/love/adore/worship this show for various reason and also because It's SHAFT, and I love how SHAFT does things.

But I can also get how that grates on people. But please do rate it better than Sola ok? Atleast this HAS A STORY.

I just skipped the parts when plain guy and amnesiac girl were on screen and followed the development of the more exciting love triangle instead. The show was much more tolerable this way. So I'll probably skip this then too.

I'll be watching this for sure. While the artistry was a large draw point of the first season, it was painfully powerful presentation and direction in the later half that really grabbed me.
