Persona 4: Requiescat in Pace: Petulant, Bouncy, Fangirl Chie

October 2nd, 2008

Japanese Chie                                              English Chie

I normally wouldn’t say much, but… you know me and my girl, Horie Yui. Sorry Hocchan, you’ve been replaced by a 35 year old tour guide. At least it sounds like a reasonably competent tour guide, but Chie sounds about 20 years older than the Chie I know and… tolerate? If they messed do~n… well… I’ll just be really really bitchy for a couple of hours before finding a new shiny toy to complain about.

7 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

  • Kresnik says:

Wishing that somewhere deep underground someone is going to work on the undubbed version. Both Chie and Yosuke’s voice lacking of character. I wonder where the ‘adequate’ quality of dubbers from P3..? >_>

  • DominicanZero says:

    …Ugh.

  • Mike says:

I wish I didn’t hear the Japanese version. Now I’ll never get used to the english dub of Chie.

  • Joule says:

Let’s hear more of the dub before putting it down Aroduc.

I don’t why it took me this long but I wouldn’t of minded hearing Ryou Hirohashi in her Sakino voice for Chie. Sakino <3

  • Ryugan Koji says:

NOOOOOOO x_x ok now if they do this to chie i dont wanna hear what they do to Rise, who is Rie kugimiya in the jap version T_T

  • Setsukyie says:

Damn..Chie sounds so different, and I hate the English version. Well, Yosuke is ‘ok’ I guess..

I agree with the guy above. There’s no way I’m gonna let them off the hook if they ruin Rise’s voice. It’s bad enough that we’re not able to hear Kugimiya Rie in the english version..

  • Crex says:

It’s a shame that Atlus didn’t do it like Gust & Nippon Ichi which allows you to switch the voice. Man how could they do this to you Chie.
