I think you’re expecting Minori to be something she’s not, and you don’t seem to like the overly oblivious optimistic air-head type of char either, so it’s no surprise you can’t come to like her. As for me, I love her regardless of hocchan voicing her.

The visuals were seriously meh on this one. The episode itself was okay, although it seems a bit too early to hint at the “other” side of Minori, so it might spoil the huge surprise later.

In a way I’m kind of glad they’re going the original route – because it means they won’t be trying to live up to unrealistic expectations. As of volume 9, the novels are dangerously close to becoming a all-timer masterpiece, on a level even higher than Honey and Clover. It might even reach Bungaku Shoujo status soon depending on how it ends.
