His scene was shortened to less than a minute, and his lines even got stolen by Ryuuji. Won't matter to the current story, but we lose all the foreshadowing for the next arc, unless they decide to animate the spin-off in between after all. Which I would like to see, but hey. The anime staff really like Taiga, it seems. Minori and Ami both had good dialogue cut out, and poor Yuri was condemned to be the butt of a joke instead of a person who agreed to act out against her wishes in order to atone for her actions last episode. Yuri is an awesome character, and it was an unnecessary change, so I kinda feel sorry for her. Don't worry, Yuri! Your time to shine is in the next arc and in the final arc!
