We all want to see more Bakemonogatari episode reviews but oh well…

as far as THIS show went I rather enjoyed the lack of any significant plot development… NOT!
As long as that damn party happens next episode I will be happy but for gods sake I can only care so much.
The pace of this show reminds me of DBZ. Pretty soon they’ll have 20 minutes of Teppei and the maid staring at each other in the car before cutting to “NEXT TIME ON PRINCESS LOVER!!!”

I got to admit after reading the comments Bakemonogatari really stepped up its game in episode 5. The confession scene was absolutely sincere and quiet bold. She was basically like, listen you were the only one nice to me when no one else was and I enjoy talking to you, so lets go out XD The funny thing is that the commenter that was dissing the series like crazy in the other blogs is still watching it XD I guess its doing something right.

I don’t get this opinion at all. Why is it so bad to ‘whine’ about animation in a VISUAL MEDIUM? If the animation sucks, that takes away from everything else because it takes you out / distracts from what the so-called story* is trying to get across.

You might as well just read a book then, most likely would have a better story.

*Seriously, what story? I see a lot of character interaction, which is fine, but don’t tell me there’s some grand story arc here. They certainly haven’t DONE anything to reinforce that idea. They’ve made the show into 1v1 interaction.

To be fair, the writing is pretty good. The ending to the current arc was predictable yet executed very well. Animation is stunning but after a while you feel like it’s an eye exam. I personally focus on the exposition and ignore the constant image transitions. They really should tone it down and just focus on the unique stories.
