More like whines, but whatever, let’s run with it.

I realize how interesting you all find my personal life, but this is just a quick little note that starting tomorrow, I’ll be rejoining the ranks of academia, although I really doubt much will change for at least this term since I’m being forced into a couple classes that I’m already woefully overqualified for. Introduction to Java? Sweet. On the up side, I was taught to not sexually harass my new classmates by an anthropomorphic supertram. They also taught me to respect other people and behave appropriately, which was actually pretty lucky for me because my plan for the first day of class was to show up in a KKK hood, naked from the waist down and introduce myself as El Guapo, the scourge of womankind. Another crisis narrowly averted.

In any case, Thursday and Fridays are the only days that I’m stuck on campus past about 11:00. The only difference this’ll probably mean for most of you is that my normal impatience won’t work its magic and I’ll end up watching a raw with a real resolution instead of going to my usual super early hobo streamed sources. It’s not like there’s much competition to be first in the raw blogosphere these days anymore anyway. You guys need to get on Totali’s case and make him come back already. He claims to be too busy drawing hands and looking at the earrings on his nude models.

In other news, Galaxy Angel is back more or less on pace now that I’ve extricated myself from the other things eating up my time. Chapter 5 was entirely too long, but 6 should be done by the end of next week at the latest. I also apparently broke some of the AI scripts by translating some things that I wasn’t supposed to. Everything (should) be fixed now and you can grab the updated patch here. Finishing Chapter 6 will put the total script translation at about 60%, more or less. After that though, I’m not really sure how long things will take because 7 is where the game (finally) branches and I’m really not sure if it’d be easier on my brain to do all 5 routes in sequence or just see one to completion. It really doesn’t help that the files aren’t easy to just thumb through and see how things flow anymore either.

If you do want to help out though, work on the images is still in progress (and I’ve managed to avoid doing any of it so far), and if you’re really REALLY bored, one of my awesome hacker fellows put together a tool for the battle messages that hooks them to the audio files, letting me actually apply some context to them. Of course, I’ve already gone through a thousand or so of them, so I’m not really wild on going over all my old work and listening to around an hour and a half worth of "I’m engaging the enemy!" It’s relatively unskilled activity that needs to be done eventually though. Hopefully not by me. *hint hint, prod prod* I should probably get around to subbing those in-game movies too. Some of them have almost four or five whole lines! Gadzooks!

Aaaaaand finally, a few new promos and CMs have come out since I posted the preview. I’m ‘happy’ to hear Hirano verbally assaulting my ears in the Fairy Tail CM. I swear, she must be moonlighting as some kind of horrible harpy, shattering the eardrums of any poor souls with the misfortune of passing by her roost. Kampfer’s also looking pretty unimpressive, but hopefully Nomad’s just being weird again and is off knitting more hand puppets instead of making decent promos.

Alright, that’s all I’ve got. Seeya on Wednesday for when the fun really starts with Umineko, as well as the second half of Tomoharu’s quest to understand the magic dildo. I really should try to remember what that show was about… aside from magical dildos. Oh yeah, and all the other shows that start on Thursday too. Not that I think anybody is paying attention to what I’m saying at this point with all the distracting stakes all over the place. Ah well, c’est la vie.
