Seriously. You can tell a bad anime - hell, a bad story in general - when they break rule #1. Show, not tell. Do the writers think we're so stupid that we have to be told everything about your heart spirit phlebotonium? Or that we even care? Or are they just so bad at writing dialogue overseas, that they have to make every sentence expositionary?

*MAYBE* if we were into the actual story, it'd make sense to know more about it or some of the other crap going on. I remember you talking once about how the removal of sarcasm in China caused a ripple effect; would you happen to know why so many productions from east asia feature buckets of exposition?

This is just not my kind of show, I barely watched 5-7 mins of this show b4 dropping it out, but based on the pics it seems they abused of blue backgrounds.

Aaah, even when I read the really long first chapter of the manga a while ago (when the author makes all this exposition...AND EVEN MORE), I felt VERY bored with this episode.
Geez, the pace was slow, but with a vomitive amount of info of the Bees, and so on... hope that the next episodes don't be so dense with exposition (warning: amazingly high probability of "baaw" scenes ahead)

I wasn't bored by the exposition, this just feels like a slowly paced RPG when everyone is just hanging out enjoying the atmosphere and telling ghost stories.

I look forward to more:)

You kept watching a full minute after the show was entirely over?

And I really could not possibly care less what 2ch thinks. They can suck it. Popularity shouldn't affect your own opinion anyway, and it's a terrible argument for or against watching something.

I get what you mean, but I loved this episode. The 22 minutes just flew by. Outstanding voice acting from Sawashiro Miyuki and Fukuyama Jun. Through those two voices, the exposition brought me close to the characters. And I thought the look was great. Good story well told, as far as I am concerned. And I loved the both the OP and ED songs. But I should add that there are mixed reactions to the show on 2channel, including many people who agree with you. I can also add that both the director and lead writer are doing those jobs for the first time.
