Utawarerumono OVA #02 — The Stuff of Nightmares

Great. Now I won’t be able to sleep for a week.
Impressions:
When last we checked in with the cast of Days of Our Lives, DA GUV’MENT STOLE URUTORII’S BABY and the balance of that episode was the girls bathing topless. This time, Eruruu hooks up with a creepy old man and his even creepier monkey, along with a woman from Kurou’s past, although Eruruu spends most of the episode assuming that it’s Benawi.
The production certainly was nowhere near as embarrassing as the last edition, and they managed to restrict themselves to a single topless bathing scene, so that’s a step up. On the other hand, Eruruu and Kurou are not exactly the strongest selling points of the series, and most of the cast didn’t even show up at all. Aaaaand that monkey is seriously going to give me nightmares. Mukkuru had his terrifying moments as well, but at least it had a few decent jokes. Just a rather few though.
