What is with Japan’s curry obsession?

Hooooly goats, this hotel wireless blows. It took 30 minutes just to grab the LQ stream and another 10 minutes just to upload caps/thumbnails. That’s longer than it takes to generate the damn things. This is going to be… uh… fun.

Impressions:

If Omni could get away with posting screencaps to be commented on later all the time, I get a few free passes. I’m being dragged off to dinner by the groom’s family in approximately 5 minutes ago (hooray for Boston traffic). A real post should be up in about two hours, god willing.

Everybody’s busy, so Nina sends Minette out shopping for curry. It’s… uh… slightly less significant than their previous quest for warm rocks, but at least the Frito-Lay sisters got a lot of stalker screen time. Their golem outperformed this week though. On the other hand, we were mostly back to that sickeningly sweet feeling from the first episode where every single thing is trying so hard to exude cuteness that and ADD that I fear for my teeth. There was even one of those awful inserts where the VA tries to sound like a 5 year old to go along the shopping montage. If Minette would take it down about 8 levels, the whole thing could have perhaps been a little cuter. Still would never live up to the Gold Standard of Chii’s panties shopping adventure, but at least I wouldn’t feel like she just did horrible things to my ears.

At least the episode was relatively free of any of those weird fanservice moments (the preview… not so much). Garnet was unfortunately little more than window-dressing for Minette’s little shopping trip too. Poor dragon. The only real thing of note was the introduction of Miriam, who puts apples on her head to feel them. Meanwhile, Leicester is following them around… watching hyperactive little girls feel apples. This is not healthy behavior. It raises more questions as to why Roquefort was embarrassed to see Minette’s gigantic granny panties but had no problems hugging Agnes’ naked body against his. I give equal probabilities to him being a deviant and Minette being the only girl he hasn’t repeatedly had his way with already.
