The more I think about this, the more disturbing it gets.

FYI, this show is broadcasting via some kind of crazytown hybrid web/TV hybridization routine. It’s not scheduled to begin broadcast on terrestrial networks until February, where it will air in a normal half hour timeslot, but it’s going to putz around on the web on AnimateTV with 11 minute episodes for now.

Impressions:

When you think about it, this show is actually kind of terrifying. It’s just your generic trashy bishie reverse harem, but since omnibus formats are apparently the new craze for some reason, it’s going to be a single girl getting repeatedly seduced by random men over and over again. I think that changes this from generic drek to a pseudosexual psychological thriller with the poor girl being thrown from one guy’s bed to the next. The show does have all the makings of a soap opera though. We’ve got the kid raised by what are clearly lesbian lovers (one just smokes a lot, hence her manly voice) showing off more leg than his little girl friend, grown up and now with a friend is more flamboyantly dressed than an entire reproduction of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert during Mardi Gras. Seriously. Everybody is dressed in black uniforms, and here’s this one kid wearing rainbows. And this is normalcy? Only in bishieland.

Ahem. Technical aspects are crap. The show’s barely animated and hardly drawn either. I wouldn’t be shocked if significant chunks of the art were ripped right out of the PSP game it comes from. I barely remember the music, so I guess they didn’t screw that up. The subtitles were pretty hilarious though. I think the weird xxxHOLiC broadcasts were the last time I’ve seen actual subtitles. They’re… different and unpleasant. 

It’s worth a titter or two if you’re bored and like watching terrible shows to mock them with friends, but otherwise, it’s drek with a possible veneer of sexual creepiness.
