That ED terrifies me.

Impressions:

Like Gintama, there was really no chance of me picking this up, and it’s likely for the best. After literally two months of watching Kaiji walk across balance beams in the first edition, some episodes not even involving him moving… and then an entire episode dedicated to explaining the rules to what was basically a slightly more complex version of Odds and Evens, I have nothing but memories of yelling at this show to pick up the pace before finally giving up. Now that I’ve verfyed for myself that it will indeed be more of the exact same without fixing any of the old issues, I am content to bow out of it, but hey! I guess that’s good newsfor some. Not me bowing out. That’s more of the same… perhaps even samier. Well, both, probably. Still the same minimalstic producton with the same few overlays, Kaiji’s still reduced to tears at the drop of a hat, and half the cast alternately looks like they’re about to rape each other or be raped.

However, I don’t remember the announcer sounding quite as much like he was mainlining crack, Red Bull, and speed all at the same time in the first series. Maybe I just blocked it out.

This ED will also give me nightmares for weeks, I just know it.
