Doesn’t sound so cute when it’s coming from a thermonuclear squirrel.

I missed about the first minute or so. I caught Momotaro getting clipped by a truck while trying to steal sunflower seeds or something. I don’t think it was particularly important. *shrug*

Impressions:

I am joking a little, it really didn’t sound like Louise/Shana at all, and not just because of the added psychic echo that Momo’s voice has. A pretty entertaining episode all around, though after all the Kyouran Kazoku Nikki "humans and animals aren’t friends!" nonsense, I sort of tuned out Momo’s ramblings. That bath scene also had more steam than I think I have ever seen. There was just a single line letting maybe 1/6th of the screen show. It’s not like the girls even have anything even vaguely erotic going. Now Kashiwagi… I can understand if she would need steam. A lot of steam.

New esper too, though he didn’t really do much of anything except grow hair wings and catch Kyosuke. I assume that he’s supposed to be a more advanced form of Hatsune since both seem pretty mangy and the head-wing thing looks like a more controlled version of her harpy form. Momo was also a much MUCH stronger psychic than I expected her to be. She’s a vicious little rat, especially if she can exhaust Kyosuke to that degree. Of course, I’m sure that he could have just teleported her into a wall or something like that, but it does show that for all his varied powers, he is beatable. Then again, I don’t think I’d look forward to Momo actually fighting anybody. That would just be really really silly. Let’s just have her stay as Kyosuke’s Gradius-esque option, floating around him and shooting giant beams.

Brief Summary:

Minamoto’s taking Hatsune and Akira to the wilderness for some more training, so Kashiwagi’s looking after the girls for the night at his place. They find the injured Momo on their way home from school and Kaoru decides to take her home with them.

While getting in touch with nature, Akira sees a strange cave. Investigating it, they find out that it’s the remains of a facility where psychic experiments were done on animals. One of the capsules is empty and Minamoto immediately thinks that it might be Momo.

Back at home, the girls care for Momo, but as she starts to recover, she has a nightmare of being experimented on and attacks Kaoru. Her animal instincts in command, Shiho gets Kaoru to calm down and Momo eventually releases Kaoru’s hand, letting Aoi teleport Kaoru to the bathroom to scream in pain. Everybody calm now, Kashiwagi arrives with dinner, and the girls are worried about Momo, so they retreat to the bath. Unfortunately, Kaoru’s instincts take over once she remembers that Kashiwagi has breasts and she rushes out to grope the poor lady. Momo’s still leeching off Kaoru’s energy and goes berserk again, this time with added psychic energy.

Minamoto and the Hound drive up and Hatsune immediately smells the same scent as the ruined lab. His apartment explodes above them. Minamoto rushes up to see that Momo is attacking Kaoru and releases her limiter. Kaoru overpowers Momo and smashes her against a wall. Then she realizes that she’s practically naked in front of Minamoto and blows him up.

Minamoto thinks about what to do with Momo and decides that she’s got to be taken in as a dangerous animal. Momo wakes up to hear this and goes berserk again. She attacks the girls, but Akira throws himself in front of the blast. Hatsune transforms into a wolf and attacks, but Momo flies out the window. Hatsune transforms into a harpy and follows. Minamoto tells the girls to bring the animal back, but they’re not happy with his attitude. It reminds them of their old boss, who treated them like leashed animals as well. He’s reluctant, but sticks to his guns that Momo is dangerous, which ends up with Aoi teleporting him and Kashiwagi into a wall.

Hatsune attacks, but Kaoru blocks it and orders Hatsune to back off. She turns to Momo and tries to calm her down, but Momo’s waist deep in the "all humans are evil" berserker rage and blasts Kaoru.

Akira wakes up and tells Minamoto that he tried to Replace Momo’s pscyhe, but couldn’t. Kyosuke shows up and heals Akira. He gives the kid a hammer to dig out the adults and goes to save Kaoru. He blocks the blast, heals her arm and then tells her to leave it to him. A strange man watches them from below. Kyosuke yells at Momo to bring it on, to release all her hatred at him. Momo blasts Kyosuke again and again… and keeps blasting him. He finally loses his temper at how overboard Momo is going and attacks back, grabbing Momo’s face and then the two end up biting each other. Momo finally calms down and realizes that it’s Kyosuke, but he’s out of energy and falls out of the sky. The strange man catches him. Minamoto pulls his gun and while Kyosuke yells at Minamoto to fire, the girls guilt trip him out of taking advantage of Kyosuke protecting his pet squirrel and he lowers his gun. Kyosuke and the man teleport away after Momo thanks Kaoru.

Afterwards, Aoi and Shiho tell Minamoto that they know he was just trying to help them and they thank him. Kaoru’s wandered off to go glomp Kashiwagi’s breasts.
