What happens when the censors give up.

Impressions:

So yeah, I have no idea what was up this episode, but after all the creative censoring of the past few weeks, apparently they said screw it, upped the rating for the show and just went to town with the nipples. Except towards the end, when they went back to creatively censoring them with well placed glass shininess. I had to bust out the Yukari Yakumos just to keep the damn things contained. Also… good god, Uzume. That has got to chafe like a mofo.

Not too much terribly exciting this week. Preparation for helping the fairly wimpy Kuno and her master escape the fighting and whatnot along with Minato learning from Matsu what we already knew a week or two ago about the sekirei being aliens and the MBI dude discovering their crashed spaceship. Kazehana was also bumming around, but it was kind of hard to notice her too much behind the giant nipples. They really have ramped up the fanservice in the last couple weeks. Not just the nipples, but all the panty shots of Musubi and Tsukiumi.

I do with that the little fight between Tsukiumi and Uzume had been a bit longer. It’s not like there wasn’t more than enough time that could have been cut from any of the really lame expositional/setup parts of this episode. Tsukiumi just shot water a couple times, flashed her panties at Uzume, and then that was about it. Let’s have another real fight scene here. I think pondering Great Guardians has just made me a bit antsy for finally getting a good fight out of one of these… fighting shows. Next week doesn’t look terribly promising on that front, but hopefully they’ll come through for the grand finale. Seven Arcs does like to save it up for an awesome fight right before heading into the climax, so I’ve got faith.

Seriously though… what was up with the nipples?

I so was in no mood to summarize and return the episode to its normal PG-13 standards for blog posting. Go bother Totali for a summary if you want one. Really though, very little happened for once.
