What the hell is that even supposed to mean?

Impressions:

An alright episode I guess, though with two episodes left, I’m kind of at a loss as to where all of this is leading, especially with Maori and Adol apparently in the hospital next episode. Let’s not even talk about how awful that ending scene was either. Maori and Adol both managed to get up and leap at each other after a sniper bullet was fired, hit each other in mid air and both struggle to put themselves in the path of the bullet. He was on the next roof over. Sniper bullets these days move faster than the speed of sound. Maybe in the future, sniper bullets are slower for dramatic overeffect.

I was also pretty disappointed with Melissa reacting to Maori for pretty much no good reason. If they had shown it was her power sparking it or something, fine… at least that’s something to go off of. "My brother’s girlfriend stopped by and held my hand… now I’m healed" is… well… really awful. Really really awful. I’m also not even certain the writers know what to do with that hairball Akane. They’ve got her roaming around and interfering, but she’s just sort of present to provide a tenuous nudge to the plot without actually being particularly important or interesting anymore.

Oh, and Kotaro more or less proposed to Chinami. I guess that’s kind of important or something. Good thing she immediately turned around when Adol called her out and walked right into some kind of magical Type-E nullifying thingy. I wasn’t even sure what exactly was really up with that final battle anyway. Aside from Adol’s curious choice of dual wielding whips as his main weapon (whips do not work that way!), sniperguy couldn’t seem to decide on a target. First he was aiming at Chinami, then as soon as she became totally motionless, he decided to go after Maori, and when that failed… hell… let’s go after Adol. I’m not sure he actually had a plan here. Maybe he’s just a sociopath that likes taking the most difficult shot possible.

Preview:

So much for that cliffhanger.
