Watching an anime girl watch a show about herself. What-?

Impressions:

Eh… this episode was pretty meh all around, especially after the gibberish of the previous episode. The first eight minutes were whose-her-face-the-yaoi-girl lounging around in her room, listening to a Zetsubou Sensei radio show and channel surfing. Then she gets inspiration and finishes the yaoi she’s drawing. Yeah, it was that exciting. I can’t help that think Shaft was making some kind of commentary on society by having us watch someone listen to their radio show while watching their anime, but recusion jokes just give me a headache.

It picked up a bit for the other stories, but not really that much. At least Rin showed up in class to harass Itoshiki for a little bit. Let’s have more Rin. Shaft really seemed to go nuts with the Kaere panty shots this episode. Poor girl just couldn’t stay out of the wind I guess. Oh well, after last week, I can easily forgive a relatively lame episode. The OP was also updated with actual animation, but the Rumba is definitely lamer than the Twist.
