Impressions:

This episode will probably kill Totali from Fumika overload.

Chiaki and Fumika were seriously like a pair of hobos in the park for this episode. First they mugged two guys, then they set up their little hobo grill and got to pretend to be crazy cat ladies. Chiaki then gave Fumika an ‘indirect kiss’ (because nothing says love like swapped saliva through a water bottle beforing continuing the chase after the cat. Oh right, did I forget to mention that they were trying to deliver a letter to a cat. A cat. They end up chasing the cat into a building about to be destroyed… where Fumika hijacks the wrecking ball to protect Chiaki. She really was a malcontent punk this episode. They then open the letters to the cat and find keys to the let the cat back into its home.

As expected, we got a bit more of Fumika’s backstory in between her hobo adventures and cat chasing. The cat chasing scene was a little overly dramatic, though the end of it was pretty amusing with Fumika ending up on whose-his-face’s back while being harassed by the cat she was chasing. It’s a weird feeling to laugh at Shigofumi, but it was entertaining at least, so I can’t really complain. It still felt a bit out of place… especially when she was spazzing out about the cats being around her, given her normal stoic demeanor. Chiaki gained some points with me for being a lot friendlier this episode than last, but I still take the stance that one magical girl postal carrier is enough. I guess so long as they don’t become legion, I’ll survive.
