New demo movie update shows that Fly’s been tightening up the code and performance stuff pretty majorly. The camera seems a little more spastic, but everything is looking a lot more fluid and quicker paced than the demo from two months ago. Now we just need to see Fate and Sakura in action.

Tenkaichi says: Haha cool, wish there were more characters used for that vid. I liked the Nanoha vs. Nanoha at the end, that she breaks through the barrier and the camera angles change to show that CPU Nanoha is actually blocking it correctly… but in any case, spam away that Divine Buster :)

But isn’t that kind of cheap…..maybe unblockable?
Aroduc says: The first shot/binding shot is dodgable (maybe blockable, I forget), after that, it’s a scripted thing. Lina’s Ragna Blade is the same.
The really big question is what they’re going to do with Sakura. Her powers and fighting style should be far, far different. She’s got some really decent “standard” attack cards (sword, shot, thunder, storm, arrow, fight, freeze) but it would be a lot more fun if they tossed in some of her more oddball stuff, like Big (become a giant), or Dash (super speed), or Power (super strength).
Other things that would be fun: Mirror (create a double, or reflect someone else’s attack back at them), Illusion, Voice (how do the others fight if they can’t call their attacks?). Lots of potential here, but it would require a lot of programming.
Aroduc says: Original description on the site indicated that Sakura would be a close combat specialist, as opposed to Nanoha’s ranged dominance and… I don’t know what Lina’s supposed to be good at… manueverability?
