Well… Kaoru is right.

Impressions:

Not a bad episode, but it felt kind of lacking at the same time. There was a lot of manservice. A LOT of manservice. Every time the camera zoomed out on one of those scenes, I started flinching, knowing it’d stop just sort of them actually having to censor something. The main thing that hurt this episode is that Mary and Ken’s accents are like fingernails on a chalkboard. Aoi’s already kind of wonky, but they’re about eighteen different levels of screwiness. It doesn’t help that the plot/punchline at the end was pretty dumb too.

Oh well, they can’t all be awesome. I’d have liked to see more of the espers, though their accents do drive me up the wall. Mary in particular is a lot more creative with her psychokinetic powers than Kaoru has been so far. I’m not certain they ever said what level Mary and Ken were, but they are part of the special ‘Conmerican’ forces, whatever that’s supposed to mean. It’ll have to wait though, because next week is a solo Aoi episode featuring her and a giant cape.

And probably some other stuff too.

Brief Summary:

To reward the team, everybody’s taking a trip to a hot spring resorts. Kaoru’s obsessed with the promise of the hot springs… aka… people will expose themselves. Once there, the usual starts. Kaoru uses Naomi’s chest as a pillow and goes for the full grope, and leers at the other adult women. They see a huge breasted foreigner a few times (who even has breast bounce sound effects as she walks). On the guy’s side, they’re not really doing anything special, aside from running into a blonde foreigner wearing sunglasses. The (adult) girls eventually freak out when they sense someone peeking at them while Kaoru was communing with the guy side.

They decide to check out the foreigners after Tanizaki and the Chief’s clothes are stolen, so they start tailing them. The guys note that blondie is a psychometer like Shiho. The girls lose their chesty target, but are then attacked. Because of their limiters, they’re easily beaten and Kaoru is drowning in the woman’s psychokinetic water dragon. Minamoto beans her with a tub to save them, but they still want to fight. Blondie (Ken) calms the situation down by telling his partner, Mary, that he and Minamoto bonded over ramen. Around then, they notice someone invisible watching them. It turns out that it’s another blonde guy in different sunglasses. His partner, a foreigner looking like Mary teleports in to rescue, and they try to teleport away… at a sub-level 3 power, which means they only jump a few feet at a time. Minamoto releases the children and all the espers beat down the perverts (the woman stole the clothes) and cuff ’em.

After a party where they all bond, Double Face both try to find Minamoto for some… late night coed bathing… but he’s out. (Harem count++). He’s in the bath, where the children ambush him. After some teasing, he stands up and his towel drops… that’s the promise of the hot springs.
